This page summarises the Society's registered Rules and Regulations. The registered Rules prevail.
- Eligibility: above 18 years of age; of good character; able and willing to pay the prescribed subscription; agrees in writing to be bound by the Constitution; demonstrates genuine interest in ethical, high-quality clinical research.
- Admission: applications are reviewed by the Membership Sub-Committee (or the Executive Committee until it is constituted), which recommends approval, rejection or referral within 45 days. No member is admitted without Executive Committee approval, and admission takes effect upon approval and payment of the prescribed annual subscription where applicable.
- Subscriptions: payable in advance each financial year into the Society's bank account; unpaid subscriptions follow the notice and cancellation procedure in the Rules.
- Suspension and termination: by the Executive Committee for the grounds set out in the Rules, with the procedure for explanation, warning, resignation or special meeting; no refund of subscriptions on termination.
