Every REC member and reviewer declares conflicts of interest.
A Committee member or reviewer with a conflict of interest shall not participate in the review or decision-making process for the relevant study, except where permitted under the Committee's approved SOP.
In the system, a reviewer must make a conflict-of-interest declaration before the protocol documents are opened; declared conflicts are recorded and the Secretariat reassigns the review.
